At MDOW Insurance Company, we are committed to protecting your privacy and we value you as a customer. We appreciate the trust you place in us when you purchase insurance from one of our agents.

MDOW's use of Personal Information

We only disclose personal information about our customers and former customers as permitted by law. Generally, this includes disclosures to third parties to effect, administer or enforce your transactions with us, or in connection with servicing your insurance policy. These third parties may include independent insurance producers authorized to sell MDOW insurance products, independent contractors (such as property inspectors), independent claims representatives, auditors, attorneys, courts and government agencies.

MDOW Insurance Company does not sell your personal information to others and we do not provide your information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Secure Areas

Access to MDOW's secured areas are restricted to MDOW's agents and MDOW's employees. Individuals within these groups are "authorized" after meeting certain identification criteria and are assigned individual user-id's, and passwords for secure areas access.

To insure secure communications over the internet for its secure areas, MDOW uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect transmitted information from being intercepted while it is in transit over the internet. Access to MDOW's secure areas requires proper authentication through the entry of correct user-id's, and passwords. Once confidential information is gathered and stored within MDOW's systems, it is protected by firewalls and other access control systems and processes to keep it secure from unauthorized access.

Public Access Areas

MDOW does not collect or display nonpublic, personally-identifiable information through its public access areas. Contact name, address, etc. are collected so that the requested materials can be delivered to the requesting party. The data is encrypted using SSL to protect it during transmission. This contact information is provided to our authorized independent insurance agents only.

Independent MDOW Insurance Company Agents

The independent insurance agents authorized to sell MDOW Insurance services are not MDOW employees and are not subject to MDOW's Privacy Policy. Because they have a unique business relationship with you, they may have additional personal information about you that MDOW Insurance Company does not have. They may use this information differently than our company. Contact your agent to learn more about their privacy practices.
